It runs on small-batch brews, snacks, baked treats and board games stacked by the bar, with live music keeping the room loud in the good way. Thursday means trivia. The patio welcomes dogs, because of course it does. The staff are the sort who make you feel like a regular before you've earned it, and the place has been ranked the number-one pub in town, which you feel from the first pint. This is the relaxed, talk-for-three-hours kind of date. Not the dress-up kind. Pull a couple of stools together, order a round of whatever's on tap, and take as long as you actually need.
