The Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea is Greater Victoria's only aquarium, home to more than 3,500 animals pulled straight from the waters outside, including jellies that drift and glow like living lava lamps. The real test is the touch pool, where one of you has to decide whether to pet a sea cucumber. Just note it's closed Wednesdays and Thursdays, so aim for a weekend.
