St. Edwards Dr, near the airport hotels
More infoDimsum Caddy soft opened on August 21 on St. Edwards Drive in Richmond, beside the Sandman Signature airport hotel, and it answers a question nobody asked out loud but plenty of us were thinking: what if the golf bar had real food? The kitchen runs an 87 dish menu of dim sum, a Shunde style raw bar and wok dishes, the bar pours cocktails along a green marble counter, and the simulator bays sit right in the room so nobody misses a swing. An open bay is $50 an hour and a VIP room is $60, priced per bay, not per person. You don't need to be any good at golf, which is the best news a date has had all week. One house rule to know: no alcohol in the bays, so drinks happen at the table and the bar.
Book a table and a bay separately on the Dimsum Caddy site (tables go through OpenTable, bays through Birrdi), or call 604-285-8081. It's open from 5pm to 12:30am every day except Tuesday. An open bay is $50 an hour and a VIP room $60, per bay, so two people pay $25 to $30 each for the hour; food and drinks are extra and the menu says to call for current pricing. Alcohol stays in the dining and bar areas, not the bays, so plan a round of golf first and drinks after.
