Bowl Canada's Oldest Lanes at Commodore

Canada's oldest bowling alley, a 1930 Granville Street basement where five-pin and foosball and a jukebox await your rivalry.

Commodore Bowling has been in a Granville Street basement since 1930, which makes it the oldest bowling alley in Canada and the rare date venue that can genuinely claim the word historic without straining. Walking down those stairs, past the neon and into the worn-wood warmth of it, feels like dropping into a jukebox-lit parallel timeline. Twelve lanes of five-pin bowling, twenty billiard tables, darts and a single beloved foosball table give you enough rotation to string together a whole competitive evening without ever resurfacing. The staff are genuinely kind, the neon is real, and the Granville Entertainment District location makes it a natural slot before dinner or a show. Cash is welcome, dress is whatever, and the single foosball table only seats two at a time, which is entirely the point.
