Vandula Farms Pumpkin Patch Festival: Free Entry, Oct. 17-18

By Date Spark team · Published

Vandula Farms will hold its 2026 Pumpkin Patch Festival on October 17 and 18, 2026, with free festival admission, according to the farm's event page. The weekend was also listed in a 604 Now roundup of free Halloween activities published October 9, 2026.

Free gate, paid hayrides

The farm calls this its biggest event of the year. Festival admission is free, and the pumpkin patch itself runs on donation only, which is the one time a farm lets you name your own price and then watches you do the maths in the parking lot. A tractor hayride runs both days from 10 am to 5 pm and costs $5 per person. The farm says other paid activities, including face painting, will be on site.

On Saturday, October 17, a market pop-up runs from 10 am to 4 pm. On Sunday, October 18, a Halloween pet parade takes place from 2 pm to 3 pm.

Pumpkins are priced by weight

Pumpkins are priced by weight, and carving pumpkins start at $0.49 per pound. That means the vegetable you fall in love with gets judged by a scale, and the scale does not care how much you bonded in the field.

Parking on the farm grounds is free, which means the first money you part with will be the $5 hayride and the second will be for the pumpkin you swore was small. Only the farm market and greenhouses are wheelchair accessible. The pumpkin patch and the portable washrooms are not.

Before you go

Dogs are not allowed at the pumpkin patch, so yours will have to take your word that the pumpkins were magnificent. The Sunday pet parade is dogs only and free, so they get their own big moment, and the pumpkins stay a rumour.
