Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week Returns Nov. 18
If you've been meaning to see more of the Indigenous art and design happening in this city, this is the week to do it. Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week returns to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, 630 Hamilton Street, from November 18 to 21, 2026, with a different runway show each night and early bird tickets on sale now.
Four nights, four different shows
So which night do you pick? Here's how the week breaks down. It opens with the Red Dress event, then All My Relations Couture, then Indigenous Futures, a night of hip hop and streetwear, and it closes with Spirit of the West Coast. Expect everything from streetwear to regalia, with tradition and new ideas sharing the same runway.
The 2026 theme is EARTH. The organizers say it's about honouring the land, the responsibility to care for it, and the people who look after it. Land protectors, artists, designers, community members and special guests are all part of the programme.
Tickets and prices
Here's what we found when we checked on October 20. A standard ticket for each night was $65, with sliding-scale options at $45 and $85, $30 tickets for Elders and a $50 Priority Pod tier. Opening and closing nights also had an early $55 tier, and a $1000 VIP package is available. Prices can change, so check the official listing before you buy.
Making VIFW your night out
Go for the work itself. VIFW was founded in 2017 by Plains Cree creator Joleen Mitton, and the organizers say they employ hundreds of Indigenous people every year to produce their shows, with Indigenous musicians, poets and performers on the runways too.
If it were us, we'd pick the night that matches your style (couture or streetwear?), book dinner downtown beforehand, and save the walk home for talking about your favourite looks. The theatre is about a five-minute walk from Stadium-Chinatown Station.
