Free Samhain Market and Psychic Fair in Langley Oct. 24

Energy Bags and ritual candles you make yourself

Phoenix Rising, a local shop, is hosting, and most of the day is hands-on. You can put together your own intention-setting Energy Bag, which is a real upgrade for those of us whose intentions live in a notes app we stop opening by Tuesday. You can also dress a custom ritual candle. It may be the only thing you dress on Saturday without changing your mind three times.

Walk-up tarot, flash tattoos and the food bank

Inside the same hall, a Mini Psychic Fair offers walk-up tarot, angel and intuitive readings, along with mystical flash tattoos. Whether you show up curious or fully committed, a reading gives you both something to talk about that isn't your commute.

Admission to the market floor is free. Donations are welcome at the door, and all of them go to the local food bank. The event listing doesn't give prices for readings, crafts or tattoos, so come ready to pay if something catches your eye.

An easygoing Saturday afternoon in Langley

This suits a couple where one of you owns more crystals than mugs and the other has never had a reading. We'd get there close to 11, make the Energy Bags first, then each get a reading and compare notes over lunch afterward. Bring something to donate at the door.
