KitsPatch Pumpkin Patch Returns to West 4th on Oct. 24
KitsPatch, West 4th's annual free community pumpkin patch, returns on Saturday, October 24, 2026, bringing the full farm-patch experience to a Kitsilano street corner, minus the farm. It sets up at the Kits Wings mural at Burrard and West 4th Avenue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a harvest season short enough to schedule around brunch.
A free pumpkin patch run by West 4th
The farmer of record, per Kitsilano.ca's October 12, 2026 report, is the Kitsilano West 4th Avenue Business Association, whose members normally do their harvesting in December, at the till. Everyone is welcome and no advance registration is required, which shrinks the whole application process to one step: standing on the correct corner.
It is annual, it is back for the 2026 Halloween season, and it is free, which deletes the two costs every farm trip carries: the admission and the highway debate about whether that was the exit.
Four hours at the Kits Wings mural
KitsPatch runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kits Wings mural on Burrard and West 4th Avenue, so for once "meet me by the wings" is an actual landmark, unlike "meet me by the tractor", which on a farm describes several.
A farm patch asks for a full tank, a full Saturday and boots you will regret buying. This one asks for some part of four hours on a single Saturday, and whatever shoes you were already wearing.
So the farm experience lands on West 4th mostly intact, minus the mileage and the barn. The one farm tradition that survives the move is the critic: bring a date, and someone will still quietly point out that your pumpkin leans.
