Kitsilano Winter Farmers Market Returns November 8

By Date Spark team · Published

Updated

The Kitsilano Winter Farmers Market returns on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Kitsilano Secondary School, at W 10th Ave and Trafalgar St. Kitsilano.ca reported the return on October 17, and the main thing to know is the location: the winter market isn't held at the summer market's corner.

Sundays at Kitsilano Secondary through April 2027

Once it's back, the winter market runs every Sunday from 10am to 2pm, from November 8, 2026, until April 25, 2027. There are two planned closures, on December 27 and January 3. Every other Sunday in that stretch is a regular market day, so it works as a standing weekend plan for most of the winter.

The summer market's last Sunday at Larch Street is November 1

The summer Kitsilano Farmers Market keeps going until November 1, 2026, at Larch St and W 10th Ave, where it has run on Sundays from 10am to 2pm since May 3. That means the switch happens over back-to-back weekends: one Sunday at Larch, and the very next Sunday at the school.

Here's the detail that's easy to miss. Both markets are on W 10th Ave, but the cross street changes: the summer market is at Larch St, and the winter market is at Trafalgar St, at Kitsilano Secondary School. If you've been heading to Larch all season, that's the one thing to update before November 8.

Parking near the school and a Sunday plan for two

Driving is the harder option here. The market's page says parking is limited and restricted to residents on nearby streets. If you must drive, the organizers suggest parking on W 12th Ave or W Broadway, and they ask shoppers not to park at the community centre. By transit, Broadway is the closest bus route: get off at Macdonald, walk two blocks east to Trafalgar St, then one block south to the market and the school. It's also worth checking the organizer's page before you head out in case anything changes.

It's an easy way to keep your Sunday market routine going through the winter, with only two dates to plan around. And if you're dating, it suits couples who'd rather browse side by side than sit across a table making small talk.
