Cirque du Soleil's LUZIA Opens Nov. 4 at Concord Pacific
A Cirque show is one of the few date plans where neither of you has to carry the conversation for two hours. Cirque du Soleil's LUZIA sets up under the Big Top at Concord Pacific Place, 88 Pacific Boulevard in Vancouver, with a run listed from November 4, 2026 to January 10, 2027.
A waking dream of Mexico, with real water
Cirque describes LUZIA as a waking dream of Mexico. A traveller parachutes into a dreamlike land and meets its culture, nature and mythology, moving from an old movie set and a smoky dance hall to the beach and the desert. Along the way, a running woman wakes this imaginary Mexico in a nod to the monarch butterfly's migration.
The name blends two Spanish words, luz (light) and lluvia (rain), and both matter on stage: Cirque says the show works water into the acrobatics. So yes, it rains indoors on purpose, which in Vancouver feels almost like a home game.
What to know before you book
LUZIA runs 125 minutes, including a 25-minute intermission. Outside food and drinks aren't allowed inside the gates, but food and drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are sold on the circus grounds. Cirque calls it a show for the whole family, with a fair warning that it has loud noises and some dark scenes.
We couldn't find a published starting price on Cirque's own Vancouver page when we checked on October 19, so compare seats and dates on the official ticket page before you buy. If a resale listing looks like a bargain, check the same performance on Cirque's page first.
Making LUZIA a date night
If it were us, we'd treat the intermission as part of the plan: grab a drink on the grounds and argue about which act was the best so far. A run that reaches January 10 also makes this an easy holiday gift, the kind that doesn't need wrapping and won't end up in a drawer. Pick a date, book it on the official page, and let the acrobats do the impressing.
