AnnaLena Earns Two Michelin Stars in Vancouver

By Date Spark team · Published

AnnaLena in Vancouver has been promoted to Two Michelin Stars in the 2026 Vancouver selection announced on October 6, 2026, as reported by VITA. The restaurant's own FAQ independently confirms the two-star status. Chef Michael Robbins and operations manager Jeff Parr have owned the Kitsilano room since 2015.

What the second star means for AnnaLena

VITA reported the promotion on October 6, and AnnaLena's FAQ now describes the restaurant as a two Michelin-starred tasting menu room at 1809 West 1st Avenue, steps from Kitsilano Beach.

Michelin's inspectors are anonymous, which is a useful reminder for anyone with a firm one-line verdict on a restaurant. Your confident review of the bread course may be sitting two tables from someone whose opinion comes with a global guidebook. Lower your voice and pass the butter.

The restaurant has offered only a tasting menu since June 2020. There is no a la carte option. The menu changes with the seasons and what reaches the kitchen.

Booking and visit facts

The tasting menu is $178 per person, and the menu is subject to change. Reservations are made only online through Resy and open 30 days ahead. AnnaLena is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5pm, with the last seating at 9pm, and it is closed Monday. Allow 2 to 3 hours.

Anyone with dietary needs should email the restaurant before booking. Menu modifications for allergies and other dietary restrictions require 48 hours' notice. Bookings can be cancelled or changed through Resy up to 48 hours before the reservation.

Who should go

This is an occasion dinner for people who actually want a set, seasonal tasting format. It is not a spur-of-the-moment budget supper. Planning 30 days ahead can feel like a heroic feat, especially if you regularly open the fridge, forget why, and close it again. Put the date in your calendar, confirm dietary needs first, and treat the evening as the main event.
