Francophone Christmas Market on West 7th Avenue Dec. 5
December gift shopping usually means a mall, a parking lot and a quiet drive home with the wrong sweater, so here's a calmer option: Le Centre culturel francophone de Vancouver holds its free Francophone Christmas Market on Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1551 West 7th Avenue. Around 20 local Francophone vendors are expected, along with a library book sale and a raffle.
Around 20 Francophone vendors and a library book sale
According to the centre, the market brings together around 20 local Francophone vendors selling handmade creations, gift ideas, sweet treats and other unique finds. It takes place in Studio 16 at the centre, and the book sale in the library runs for the same 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. window.
That pairing is more useful than it sounds. Sweet treats cover the person on your list who insists they want nothing, and the book sale gives you somewhere to regroup after ten indecisive minutes at a single stall.
Free entry, an RSVP and a raffle by donation
Entry is free, and the centre asks visitors to RSVP through its Christmas Market page. The raffle runs by donation. This is also a family event: the organiser lists free activities for children, including face painting and drawing, set to Christmas music.
Who we'd send to West 7th
Our pick: a couple with a gift list and no plan, or anyone who speaks or is learning French. Skip it if you want an evening out, since it wraps at 5. We'd RSVP early, arrive around 11, split up for 20 minutes to buy each other one small surprise, then swap.
