First, an honesty clause: Big Sky Golf Club, at the foot of Mount Currie on Airport Road, does not rent rooms. There are no cabins on the fairways. Its official stay-and-play packages route you to the Pemberton Valley Lodge in town or the Sundial in Whistler, and the golf carts, in a detail of pure accounting poetry, cost extra.
What the valley does have is a loose constellation of cabins and farm stays bookable on Airbnb and Vrbo: a post and beam cabin backing onto the Lillooet River minutes from the course, a tiny home in Pemberton Meadows with a private hot tub and serious stargazing, and Sweetwater Lane Farm, a seven-acre working homestead with a milk cow, piglets, a sauna and a fire pit.
One-bedroom cabins start around $119 a night, whole farmhouses climb steeply from there, and the distinctive ones vanish early for summer weekends. Tourism Pemberton keeps an accommodation directory if the Airbnb scroll defeats you, and a few listings sit conveniently near The Beer Farmers, which is not nothing when you are planning a date.
The setting
Rentals scatter across the flat valley floor: Airport Road beside the golf course, rural lots along the Lillooet River, and up Pemberton Meadows Road, most within about 25 minutes of Pemberton village.
Getting there
The same Sea to Sky run from Vancouver, about 160 km and two and a half hours on Highway 99, then rural roads to your rental. No ferries, but effectively no transit beyond the village either, so a car is mandatory; out here, parking is usually just a field.
