The Indiana group brings The Lordy Tour to the Commodore Ballroom on Thursday, November 12, starting at 7pm. It's 19+, and tickets on Ticketmaster ran from $56 to $172 when we looked, with some resale mixed in. Their songs lean on big harmonies and choruses the crowd knows, so a Thursday here feels a lot like a Friday. For dinner, Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar on Burrard is a five-minute walk and quick if you tell them you have a show. After the last song, the Piano Lounge at Bacchus in the Wedgewood Hotel is the calm, velvet opposite of a rock show, and it's just around the corner.
Buy tickets on Ticketmaster (19+, from about $56 when we checked). Eat at Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar on Burrard, five minutes from the door, and arrive around 7pm. After the encore, walk around the corner to the Piano Lounge at Bacchus for a quieter nightcap.
