For a week each October the Vancouver Writers Fest fills Granville Island's Waterfront Theatre and neighbouring venues with a hundred-plus events: on-stage interviews, themed panels, readings, and signings with authors from around the world. It is an unhurried, warm kind of date, one that leaves you both with something to say over dinner. The 2026 festival runs October 15 to 25. Most events are ticketed individually.
