JOB Begins Previews at The Cultch in Vancouver
JOB begins its Vancouver run at The Cultch's Historic Theatre on September 29, with pay-what-you-can previews ahead of the October 1 opening. Max Wolf Friedlich's psychological thriller runs through October 11, 2026. Finally, a workplace drama that does not require you to reply-all.
A viral video, a therapist and a return-to-work request
Elizabeth Barrett and Brian Markinson star in The Search Party's production, directed by Mindy Parfitt. Jane, a tech employee placed on leave after a viral video, wants therapist Loyd to clear her return. Apparently even escaping the office now involves an appointment about the office.
In Stir's interview with the actors, Jane is identified as a social-media content moderator, while Loyd belongs to an older generation. Both performers argue for arriving without spoilers. Stir also traces the play's journey from an off-Broadway debut in 2023 to Broadway the following summer.
