Linh Noodle Bar Opens on West Cordova Street
Linh Noodle Bar had opened by October 5, 2026 at 1029 W Cordova Street, the Canada Place-area space that spent five years as the Michelin-recommended Italian restaurant Bacaro before it closed this past March. The new restaurant comes from the team behind Linh Cafe, which has been running since 2014.
From Michelin pick to pho
Swapping cicchetti for pho in the same room is the kind of turnover that makes a block's restaurant history read like a soap opera recap. Linh Noodle Bar has taken over the Bacaro address and is running Vietnamese street and home cooking instead, built around pho, noodle dishes, rice plates, salads and small shareable plates. The menu leans on ingredients sourced from British Columbia and across Canada, reinterpreted with what the restaurant describes as balance and precision rather than a direct translation of Linh Cafe's original menu.
The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. There is no reservation system. Walk-ins only, which at a downtown lunch rush location near Canada Place could mean a bit of standing around deciding whose turn it is to hold the table while the other orders.
Design and the Linh Cafe connection
Linh Noodle Bar is billed as a sister concept to Linh Cafe, arriving as that original business marks more than a decade in Vancouver hospitality. The interior reportedly draws on Indochine art and design, pairing Vietnamese heritage with French architectural influence, a nod to the building's own layered past as an Italian spot before this. No pricing details have been published on the official site beyond the menu categories, so check the restaurant's own listings before you go.
