Richmond Country Farms Pumpkin Patch Runs Through Oct 31

By Date Spark · Published

Richmond Country Farms' pumpkin patch is open daily from September 30 through October 31, 2026, with tickets sold only at the on-site hut rather than online. The Steveston Highway farm hands you a field full of pumpkins and absolutely no bag to carry them home in, so plan ahead for that part.

Hours and what it costs

Weekdays, excluding holidays, the patch runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with last entry at 4 p.m., and admission is $15 plus tax per person. Weekends and holidays stretch to 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., last entry 4:30 p.m., at $20 plus tax per person. Kids two and under get in free, which is less a discount than an acknowledgment that a toddler cannot yet appreciate a gourd on a philosophical level. There is no online ticketing: everyone pays at the ticket hut on arrival.

Finding the field off Highway 99

The farm sits at 12900 Steveston Highway, just off Highway 99, with free parking on site for anyone driving down. If you're taking transit, the Canada Line gets you into Richmond, then a connecting bus toward Steveston Highway covers the rest, though routes shift often enough that checking TransLink before you leave is worth the thirty seconds. Strollers are welcome, with the caveat that the ground is genuine farm terrain: grass, gravel, packed dirt and enough bumps that the pumpkin in your arms will get a bumpier ride than you did.

The date logic of a large vegetable

A pumpkin patch is a low-stakes way to spend an October afternoon together: wear boots or sturdy shoes, dress in layers, and the only real decision left is who carries the pumpkin that's clearly too big for anyone's kitchen counter. Go on a weekday before 4 p.m. to catch the cheaper admission and more daylight for picking.
