HEIST at the Stanley: October 6 Talkback and Tickets

By Date Spark · Published

On October 6, 2026, the Arts Club's 7 p.m. performance of HEIST at the Stanley BFL CANADA Stage will be followed by a 15-minute chat with members of the artistic team. Arun Lakra's crime caper runs through October 18, giving Vancouver the option of watching a complicated plan unravel without having organized it personally.

A ruby theft at the Stanley

The premise brings together a conman, a hacker, a cat burglar, muscle and a mastermind to steal a multimillion-dollar ruby. The job goes wrong, and a second-chance scheme raises questions about who can trust whom. Consider this entertainment for anyone who watches a caper and announces they would have spotted the double-cross. You may test that theory from a seat; no one is lending you a ruby.

This is the play's B.C. premiere. The production runs about two hours and twenty minutes, including an intermission, at 2750 Granville Street. The Arts Club advertises tickets from $39. That is a starting price, so use the official booking page for the seats and performance you want.

The October 6 post-show conversation

Talkback Tuesdays are short conversations with the artistic team after selected performances. The Arts Club describes them as a chance to hear about character work and the inspiration behind a production. For HEIST, the listed performance begins at 7 p.m. on October 6; the conversation follows the show, rather than starting at 7 p.m. itself.

It is an appealing format if your usual post-theatre analysis consists of confidently explaining something you misunderstood. Stay, ask a question and give your interpretation a sporting chance. The listing does not promise which team members will attend.

Getting to South Granville

The Stanley is at Granville and 12th. The Arts Club's parking guidance lists a three-hour maximum for paid street spaces on Granville south of Broadway and four hours north of Broadway. Check the posted rules where you park, and allow for the performance and the conversation afterward. A dramatic getaway is best left onstage.

As a date, the talkback gives you something specific to discuss afterward without needing to pretend you have a theatre degree. Pick the October 6 performance if that extra conversation appeals; book another date in the run if you would rather make your own exit.
