Canyon Frights Returns to Capilano on October 9

By Date Spark · Published

Canyon Frights returns to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park from October 9 to November 1, 2026, with Halloween lighting, forest displays and seasonal food. The North Vancouver attraction is pitching family-friendly scares, so the skeletons are more likely to feature in your photos than your subsequent therapy notes.

The forest has acquired a skeleton crew

The suspension bridge and surrounding forest will light up for Halloween, with seasonal displays across Cliffwalk, Treetops Adventure and the rainforest. Look for pumpkins, glowing mushrooms, giant spiders and skeletal scenes. The park's September 29 announcement describes a day-and-night event, so this is not exclusively an after-dark visit.

The event page also lists live music at Loggers' Grill Plaza, hourly from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Cliff House Restaurant & Bar has a seasonal menu featuring drinks including Dracula's Bite Hot Chocolate and dishes such as Foragers Ravioli. A vampire-themed hot chocolate is a useful compromise for anyone who wants the aesthetic without committing to the dietary requirements.

The dates and the small print that matter

Listed park hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., extending to 9 p.m. on October 23 to 25 and October 30 to November 1. Guests may remain for an hour after closing. Canyon Frights is included with park admission or an Annual Pass; BC Annual Passholders must reserve an arrival window online. Use the official ticket page for the current admission price and available times.

Costumes must be child-friendly, and masks, sharp objects and weapons or lookalikes are prohibited. Keep those rules separate from the fantasy: arriving as a pirate does not exempt the sword from inspection. The official promotional photo shows the Halloween bridge decorations, not a visit to the upcoming 2026 event.

Getting there without the parking subplot

The address is 3735 Capilano Road, North Vancouver. The park's directions page lists a free downtown shuttle with return service; proof of park admission is required for the return journey. Check the current shuttle schedule for your visit. On-site parking is limited and listed at $9 for up to three hours; overflow parking and its shuttle operate when needed.

For a date, choose your arrival time together and leave room for a food stop rather than treating the bridge as a timed obstacle course. Holding hands is optional. Pretending you were only gripping the railing for the photograph is between you and your witness.
