Ballet BC Annex Brings Triple Bill to Alliance Française

By Date Spark · Published

Ballet BC Annex, the junior company of Ballet BC, dances a single 60-minute triple bill at Alliance Française Vancouver on October 30, 2026, premiering two new works alongside an existing piece by Out Innerspace.

Two world premieres and Last Flower

The program pairs two world premieres, one from Cameron sinkʷə Fraser-Monroe and one from Michael Garcia, with Out Innerspace's Last Flower rounding out the bill. The show runs an hour, from 7:30 to 8:30 pm, performed by the young, high-level dancers who make up Ballet BC's developmental ensemble rather than the main company.

A nice detail for anyone nervous about contemporary dance: the listing notes extracts are in English with French subtitles, so you can nod along looking cultured in two languages simultaneously, understanding roughly the same amount in both.

A 164-seat theatre on Cambie Street

The performance is staged in the Théâtre at Alliance Française Vancouver, 6161 Cambie Street, a 164-seat venue inside the organization's accessible, three-level building. It offers convenient access via the Canada Line, from either Oakridge-41st or Langara-49th stations, with underground paid parking available from the back lane for anyone determined to drive to a dance recital.

Tickets are $25 regular price, with a 25 percent discount for Alliance Française members, and the booking page listed 100 seats remaining as of this writing.
