Richmond Country Farms and Aldor Acres offer two different versions of the pumpkin date: a Richmond outing with posted admission prices, or a longer-window farm visit in Langley. Choose by the afternoon you actually want, then work backward from last entry. The pumpkins are available for photographs; they are not available for negotiating with your dinner reservation.
What Richmond Country Farms confirms
The Richmond Country Farms official prices and hours page lists the pumpkin patch as open daily from September 30 through October 31, 2026, at 12900 Steveston Highway in Richmond. Weekdays run 9 AM to 4 PM with last entry at 4 PM, at $15 plus tax per person. Weekends and holidays run 10 AM to 4:30 PM with last entry at 4:30 PM, at $20 plus tax per person. Ages 2 and under are free, and tickets are sold at the ticket hut.
The farm market has separate hours, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Its later closing does not extend pumpkin-patch last entry. Read our Richmond Country Farms report for more of the visit details. Check admission inclusions before buying; pumpkin picking and the price of the pumpkin are questions worth keeping separate.
What Aldor Acres confirms
Aldor Acres lists its fall pumpkin season from September 19 through October 31, with the farm open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and last entry at 5 p.m. For current ticket prices and inclusions, follow the farm’s ticket calendar. Leave time to enjoy the visit after entering, rather than treating the gate cutoff as your suggested arrival time.
The farm describes itself as an 80-acre working farm with hands-on experiences. Choose it if that farm setting appeals to you, then check which activities are included in the ticket you select. More room in the day is useful; it is not a requirement to stay until every member of the family has developed an opinion about hay.
Couples or families, and what to wear
For a couple, compare the outing with the meal you want afterward. Richmond gives you a stated weekday/weekend price distinction and a farm market open later than patch entry. Aldor offers a later farm-entry cutoff. For parents bringing children, our family outing guide covers the useful trade-offs: ages, food breaks, terrain and backup plans.
Clothing is advice, not an accessibility guarantee. Farms are farms, so wear shoes you wouldn't mind getting muddy and a layer you can remove. If mobility matters, call ahead and ask about the ground conditions. White sneakers are a bold personality choice here, and the field will review them.
Plan the meal backward
Choose an arrival time comfortably before last entry, allow the time you want at the farm, then check the route to dinner. Make the reservation after that, with room for traffic and the pumpkin that apparently requires its own seat. For outfit ideas, see date style; for more dated outings, see this weekend.
Plan it backward from last entry, because the pumpkins will not negotiate with your dinner reservation.
