Break a Sweat
A 20,000-sq-ft disco skate palace at the PNE where holding hands is technically self-defense.
Rolla Skate Club has taken over the PNE's old Rollerland home with 20,000 glittering square feet of skate-and-spin floor and the astute observation that the best dates are the ones where looking cool is physically impossible. The 19+ evening sessions come with a DJ and a selfie station, and protective gear is bundled into your ticket so the only thing you need to bring is a pair of shoes and a cheerful acceptance of public wobbling. Skates rent for a few bucks at the door. The structural genius is this: within four minutes of lacing up, you will be gripping each other's arms like life depends on it, which technically it might, and all the first-date conversational pressure dissolves into the shared problem of staying vertical. Nobody has ever fallen in love faster than while clinging to someone on a roller rink.
