Who we are

Date Spark Studio designs and builds websites for restaurants and venues. It is run by Kwame Adoo, sole proprietor, from Vancouver, British Columbia, and is part of Date Spark (datespark.ca).

The free homepage design

We design a new homepage for you within 48 hours, free and with no obligation. If you go ahead, it becomes the starting point of your site. If you don't, you owe nothing and we won't use your photos, menu or name for anything else.

Prices

All prices are in Canadian dollars. If we become registered for GST, it is added and shown on your invoice.

• Launch website: $1,950, up to 7 pages, live in 7 days. Our first 3 restaurants pay a founding rate of $1,450.
• Growth website: $3,950, everything in Launch plus private dining, gift cards, seasonal pages and search work.
• Menu Rescue: $295, your PDF menu turned into a fast menu page Google can read, within 48 hours.
• Care Plan: $149 a month. Growth Care Plan: $349 a month.
• Local SEO fix: $750 one time. Ongoing SEO: $499 a month.
• Google Ads management: Starter $495 a month (up to $1,500 a month in ad budget) or Growth $895 a month (up to $4,000 a month in ad budget). Your ad budget is added on top and paid directly to Google. Larger budgets are quoted. No setup fee.

How payment works

• Websites: 50% deposit once you approve your homepage design, and the remaining 50% at launch.
• Menu Rescue: paid in full when you book.
• Care plans: billed monthly by card, starting at launch. Cancel any time and the plan ends at the close of the month you've paid for.
• Ongoing SEO and Google Ads: billed monthly by card. Google Ads plans have a 3 month first term, then continue month to month with 30 days notice.

Payments are processed by Stripe. You'll get a receipt by email for every payment.

Our 7-day launch guarantee

Your site goes live within 7 days of the day we have your approved homepage design, your menu and your photos. Time spent waiting on you, such as for content, approvals or access to your domain, doesn't count toward the 7 days.

If we miss it, your first 3 months of care are free. The website price itself stays the same.

Refunds

• Change your mind before your build starts (before our kickoff call) and we refund your deposit in full.
• Once the build has started, the deposit is non-refundable, because the work is underway. The balance is only due at launch.
• Menu Rescue: full refund if you cancel before we start your menu page.
• Care plans: no refunds for part of a month, but you can cancel any time.

To ask for a refund or cancel, email kwame@datespark.ca. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 business days.

What you own

Once your website is paid in full, its design and content are yours. Your domain, photos, menu and logo were always yours. If you ever leave a care plan, we'll help you move your site to hosting you control.

Your Date Spark listing

Being featured on Date Spark is never for sale and never depends on buying from Date Spark Studio. Your listing stays exactly the same whether or not we work together.

The fine print

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada. If anything here changes, the version that applies to you is the one in place on the day you paid your deposit.
